Fashion Was Here’s Healthy Eating Guide

Getting older means growing gray hairs, getting wiser, less tolerable, and maybe even grumpy….le sigh. Getting older also calls for a switch in our mind, body and spirit. I like to look at my rising age as an opportunity to peel the layers – figuratively and literally – of health and beauty for a more sustainable lifestyle. Recently, I’ve been on this healthy diet tip and have delved into nutrition research on some of my favorite and not so favorite foods to simply understand their health benefits. So I thought I might share some of my food for thought with you lovelies. Healthy eating can be boring as crap and sometimes we dislike it so much, that we rebel and binge off of well…crappy food. Soooo not good.
“You are what you eat” and “Eat to live” – these are some quotes that I’m sure most of us have heard or read before. These words totally ring true and is a common denominator to how we feel on a daily basis. Eating right isn’t something I always do…I like to believe I’m the one who does things in moderation…i guess…hehe. But shoot, I’m kidding myself with even that because lately I’ve been feeling sluggish, developing an achy body and my focus can be off sometimes. I think it’s uber important that we look into foods that help us rejuvenate and gives us longer, healthier lives. So of course foods like whole grain bread, blueberries, spinach, etc is good to us. I say we also explore foods and vitamins that not only boost up our health but even our beauty like cantaloupes (gives you great skin), flaxseed oil vitamins (love ’em) and edamame…mmmmm.
Another food for thought…Don’t be scared to try new things or switch things up a bit, we don’t want to get stuck in the same routine. Rotating vitamins, foods, hair shampoos, etc can definitely refresh your whole life! Don’t wait until it’s too late to jump start your eating habits, I promise you’ll feel much better and simply fab!
