Vintage Style: Sophia Loren

Before Chiara Ferragni and Giovanna Battaglia, there was an Italian bombshell who captured men and women’s eyes with her sultry style and bodacious body. Sophia Loren is a former Italian actress who’s style was very much like Marilyn Monroe’s but a bit more on the seductive side. Three things I love about Sophia are her gorgeous eyes, lovely quotes and the fact that she made it through a rough childhood and poverty.

“A woman’s dress should be like a barbed-wire fence: serving its purpose without obstructing the view.”

“After all these years, I am still involved in the process of self-discovery. It’s better to explore life and make mistakes than to play it safe. Mistakes are part of the dues one pays for a full life.”
“Sex appeal is fifty percent what you’ve got and fifty percent what people think you’ve got.”

“If you haven’t cried, your eyes can’t be beautiful.”

“Mistakes are part of the dues one pays for a full life.”

I absolutely love Sophia Loren, her style was sexy yet classy. I used her as inspiration for a photo shoot I just did.

All you had to say was Sophia Loren! To me she reminds me of Marilyn Monroe meets Eva Mendes. I adore that quote by the way.

Did you say SOPHIA LOREN? Love her movies and I too like the quote “Marilyn Monroe meets Eva Mendez”,beautiful woman, great actress, however don’t put her out to pasture just yet. Have you seen “Houseboat” with Cary Grant, or” Marriage Italian Style”and more recently” Grumpier Old Men”, and you will really identify with “Ready To Wear” a movie about runway modelling made in 1994,Oooh Yes she’s one of my favs. ,
