Sydney wants to be on the Map

Buenos Dias senoritas!!

Its amazing to see how the world changes in good ways and unfortunately in not-so-good ways but this past week has been positively good for Sydney, Australia, they have celebrated their 13th fashion week and are officially on the Fashion Map. They are willingly eager to accept the title and honor of being the fifth fashion capital in the world, coming behind New York, paris, Milan, and London. Sydney’s fashion week has turned important heads to confidently co-sign on the fact that they are blasting the runways with forceful style.

Here are some quotes made by Simon Lock, founder of Sydney Fashion Week.

Simon Lock, who founded the event in 1995 but sold it to New York-based sports, lifestyle and marketing company IMG in 2005, said he believes Sydney is making its mark on the map as the fifth fashion capital behind London, Paris, New York and Milan.

“It is not a game to see who ends up on the top of the ladder, but we are clearly in the top league and that is important for our reputation,” Lock told Reuters.

“Becoming part of the top league is due to the perception of Sydney globally and the size of the event. We now have more shows on our schedule than London fashion week and more designers.”

Check out some hot pics from the show. The style was very futuristic and fearless.
